Element 3: Candidates are knowledgeable about how adolescents compose texts and make meaning through interaction with media environments.
Reflection:
Students were able to write using pre-writing strategies. We took a virtual tour of Auschwitz to help set the tone for the novel, as well as give the students background for creating papers and projects. Below are some examples of student projects, which had to be accompanied by a formal paper describing the symbolism and historical significance of their project.
