3.4: Candidates design or knowledgeably select appropriate reading assessments that inform instruction by providing data about student interests, reading proficiencies, and reading processes.

 

Reflection:

 

Reading assessments were designed to check for factual and interpretive questions from the text. Below you will find a sample of a reading assessment given during my unit on the Holocaust, specifically our reading of the memoir, Night. These types of assessments helped me to see where students were struggling so that I could focus more on certain aspects of our reading.
